Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before booking a treatment or package with VEDA Ayurvedic Wellness.

1. Definitions

"VEDA" or "we" refers to VEDA Ayurvedic Wellness, operated by Poonam Verma, with registered address at Regione caffi, 3 c/o Borgo Isolabella, 14051 Loazzolo, Italy.

"Client" or "you" refers to any individual who books, purchases, or receives services from VEDA.

"Services" refers to all Ayurvedic wellness treatments, consultations, packages, gift vouchers, and related offerings described on our website and booking platform.

2. Nature of Services

Important: VEDA provides Ayurvedic wellness and relaxation services. These are complementary wellness practices and are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or care by a licensed medical professional. We do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are taking medication, please consult your physician before booking any treatment.

All treatments are performed by Poonam Verma, a qualified Ayurvedic wellness practitioner (BAMS, India). In Italy, Ayurvedic wellness is practised as a complementary discipline under the broader category of personal care and well-being services.

3. Booking & Reservations

Appointments can be booked through:

A booking is considered confirmed only after you receive a written confirmation from VEDA. For online bookings, you will receive confirmation within 24 hours. For same-day requests, please contact us directly by phone or WhatsApp.

4. Prices & Payment

All prices are displayed in Euros (€) and include applicable VAT (IVA) where required by Italian law. Prices are subject to change without prior notice; however, confirmed bookings are honoured at the price quoted at the time of confirmation.

Payment methods accepted:

  • Cash (on-site)
  • Credit / Debit card (on-site)
  • Bank transfer (for packages and gift vouchers)

For multi-day packages, a non-refundable deposit of 30% may be required to secure your reservation. Full payment details will be provided at the time of booking.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • More than 48 hours before the appointment: Full refund or free rescheduling.
  • 24–48 hours before the appointment: 50% refund or free rescheduling.
  • Less than 24 hours before the appointment or no-show: No refund. The full session fee will be charged.

For multi-day packages, cancellations made more than 14 days before the start date receive a full refund minus any non-refundable deposit. Cancellations within 14 days are subject to a 50% charge. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable but may be transferred to another person with prior written notice. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

6. Client Responsibilities & Health Disclosure

By booking a session, you confirm that:

  • You are in adequate physical condition to receive Ayurvedic wellness treatments.
  • You have disclosed any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, pregnancy, or medications that may affect your treatment.
  • You understand that Ayurvedic wellness services are complementary and not a substitute for medical care.
  • You will inform the practitioner immediately if you experience any discomfort during the treatment.

Contraindications: Certain treatments (including but not limited to Shirodhara, Swedana, and Abhyanga) may be contraindicated during pregnancy, fever, acute infections, open wounds, recent surgery, or certain chronic conditions. It is your responsibility to disclose these conditions before the session. VEDA reserves the right to refuse or modify any treatment based on health disclosures.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law (including EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights and Italian Consumer Code, Legislative Decree no. 206/2005):

  • VEDA's liability for any claim arising from the provision of services shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
  • VEDA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of enjoyment, emotional distress, or lost profits.
  • VEDA is not liable for any adverse reaction arising from undisclosed health conditions, allergies, or failure to follow post-treatment recommendations.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable EU or Italian law.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, graphics, and descriptions — is the intellectual property of VEDA Ayurvedic Wellness or its licensors and is protected by Italian and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

9. Privacy & Data Protection (GDPR)

VEDA processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation — GDPR) and Italian privacy laws. The personal data you provide (name, email, phone, health disclosures) is used solely for:

  • Processing and confirming your booking
  • Communicating with you about your appointment
  • Ensuring your safety during treatments
  • Legal and accounting obligations

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. Health-related data is treated as sensitive personal data under GDPR Article 9 and is stored securely with restricted access. 10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Italian Republic and applicable European Union regulations, including the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree no. 206/2005, as amended).

Any dispute arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Asti, Italy. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you also have the right to access the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

11. Changes to These Terms

VEDA reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
